A consistent walk with God seems to be one of our greatest challenges today.
Deep within the soul of every Christian is a burning desire to be authentic, sincere
and faithful in being more like Christ in our daily walk. How then can we continue our deep resolve to walk with God uprightly on an everyday basis?
Let me offer some very practical suggestions for strengthening our fellowship
with God. First, remember to come daily to the foot of the cross and balance your
account. The cross deals with the sinner while the blood cleanses us of our sins.
Through this daily fellowship we discover abundant grace and mercy to live by andnot just on Sundays. Second, always keep a short account with God. His presence
each day with comfort and encourage you to keep the record clean. The tab will add
up quickly if you let it go unchecked damaging our fellowship by the debt of sin. Settle
Then finally, we should seek to follow Christ being fully led by the Holy Spirit.
It is only through the power of the Holy Spirit that we are able to be more like Christ.
When we conform to the Lord's work in our lives it then brings us to a greater depth
of spiritual maturity. Then and only then are we able to truly appreciate a daily walk
in His presence and enjoy the peaceful relationship we have with our Heavenly Father.
Daily fresh manna, short accounts and the empowering of His Spirit are keys for us all.
